Given the "early years of the internet" visual vibe of this webpage, you might think this will be more of a historic document. But you would be underestimating Professor King's dedication. Just click on "What's in Bloom in Putnam Park" and you'll see it was updated in 2023. Check out the "Flower Tour" or "Some Favorites"--don't miss the magnifying glass option on those pages. This website is an amazing resource!
Invasive plant species pose a persistent threat to native biodiversity, ecosystem function, and recreational landscapes in urban and semi-natural environments. Early detection and spatially explicit documentation are essential for understanding invasion patterns and informing management. This project characterized the distribution and relative frequency of invasive plant species along established trails and roads in the Putnam Park Wisconsin State Natural Area, focusing on presence–absence patterns at fine spatial scales.
